Shivaja Deshmukh is Program Manager for the Orange County Water District. In this program originally aired in March 2008, he explains the workings of the new Ground Water Recycling System plant in Fountain Valley. The plant takes waste water and runs it though a number of different purification processes. The cleaned up water is then injected into the ground to maintain our ground water barrier to the sea. Karl Seckel is District Engineer and Assistant Manager of the Municipal Water District of Orange County. Our water comes from many different sources, some of which are being cut back (Colorado River and Sacramento River Delta).
